If the flooring that you have in the home is trashed or dated, go ahead and replace the flooring. If the flooring is in good or average condition and not dated, don't replace the flooring. There is a high probability that you will not get your money back.

If you just want it, go ahead especially if you are staying in the home for a while (3 to 5 years). You may not get all of your money back, but at least you get to enjoy the new flooring.
