Good answers below. We have the best short sale team in Chicagoland here, but nobody can guarantee how fast it will sell. If the HAFA papers are filed and the bank works with you it could happen as quick as 45 days after an offer has been accepted. There are lots of landmines in the way that have to be navigated. I work with Team Seeley here in my office when it comes to short sales. Meet everyone else than meet with us and you'll see the difference. Then get that place sold fast. ... more

Hello Joy,

When looking at taxes of units, even those in the same building and an identical unit can be different. Homeowners, senior exemptions and tax freezes play a role in this and if an owner has occupied a unit for a number of years compared to recent sales, you can see a big swing in amounts.
Just because a unit has low taxes, don't assume those taxess will continue for the next owner. A sale will trigger a reassessment by the city when the next round occurs and you'll find out pretty quickly how good the city is at making sure you pay your share.

Huron Pointe is a project by architects Pappageorge/Haymes, Ltd. , which are behind over 50 major (and successful) Chicago developments. Read about them here:
The project was managed by Enterprise Development.

The building was completed in 2001, is 15 stories and has 99 units. Amenities include: 24 hour Doorman,
Fitness Center, Private Balconies, and Rooftop Deck. Yes, it's a pretty great location: The heart of River North (which I happen to love).

Over the past year, prices have started at $280,000 for 1-bedrooms (around 750 sq. ft), up to the mid-$500s for 2 bedrooms (1150-1500 sq. ft).

Parking is deeded and sells for about $35,000-$45,000, some of them are tandem spots.

The floorplans are pretty standard "today" plans: open kitchen/living room/dining combos.

The curved exterior allows for some pretty interesting interiors, but in my opinion, the standard finishes are just "eh", for the most part. You will find some units more upgraded than others.
