We have quiet a few rentals in Stevens Point and would be willing to sell any of them to our tenants or anyone else who is interested and qualified to buy.
Unfortunately every person who has approached me about a "Rent to Own", was not even qualified to rent a home much less buy one.
Give me a call, if you are qualified to buy I may be able to help you, if you are not then rent to own is just a path to eventual failure and loss of your home.

If you're a FSBO, you can't list it here. YOu'll have to list it on Zillow, and through the magic of listing syndication it will eventually show up here. But keep in mind you get what you pay for.

Selling a home is a complicated legal process. Do you really want to jeopardize the largest transaction of your life?

You could give yourself a root canal, but would you really want to???

Hi Trentur1,

Based on your post since your son is on the title he can and should refinance to remove both you and your ex-wife from the mortgage as long as there is sufficient equity and benefits to him. I would be delighted to provide you with some mortgage options, (this does not require us pulling your credit) that will allow you to make the best decision for your family. I can be contacted via my profile information for a no obligation consultation. My Office hours are 08:00 AM-08:00 PM Mon-Fri and Fri and Sat 08:00 AM-06:00 PM CST.

We're looking to by our first house also. I received a list of lenders from a real estate agent and began calling around to find out who worked best for us. The one person who always answered my calls, communicated excellent via email, and went above and beyond explaining the lending process for me is Jesse Wien from Elite Mortgage. I believe he is located in the Fon du lac area but everything can be done through email and phone.
For down payment assistance, check into the USDA rural development loans. Only certain areas qualify for the assistance and there is an income limit. If the home you are looking to buy qualifies, you can buy it with no down payment and even roll your closing costs into the loan. There is only a certain amount of money allowed for the program so call the USDA office and they can tell you if loans are still available. Tons of info on their website

According to statistics reported by the Realtors Association of NorthEast Wisconsin the average home that sold in 2009 spent 183 days on the market. In 2008 this number was 177 days.

I hope this helps!

Good afternoon,

I did some research in the Stevens Point area and determined the average days on the market for a house in the downtown area was 106. I used statistics from the Central Wisconsin MLS from 2/01/09 through today and found 11 homes within 2 miles of downtown that had sold. The prices are down but the activity is still good, thanks to the $8000 1st time home buyer rebate.
