Yes, there are standard closing costs like a traditional resale. In Davidson County, seller *usually* pays title, but it's often the buyer who pays it in new construction. What does your contract say? Sometimes builders will offer closing cost incentives.

Your homeowners insurance would be up to you to pay/escrow.

Whatever you do don't put too much stock in Zillow's "Zestimate" or Trulia values. They use public data algorithms that do not factor in interior upgrades or quality. This value is primarily based on price per square foot of recent sales. As you know Belle Meade varies greatly from location to location.

Your best bet would be to do your own CMA from the MLS and then personally inspect the comparable properties for value adjustments. This should get you to a very close estimation of value.

Good luck:-)

As we grew as a city, Brentwood, Franklin, parts of Murfreesboro as well as Hendersonville have developed massive communities of expensive homes, well manicured lawns, and stunning Country Clubs that rival any city in the South!

As a native Nashvillian I've watched it all happen and we are only getting better. Yes, Belle Meade is a fine community of well kept homes and estates however don't rule out Hillwood, Green HIlls,Governors Club, Leipers Fork, downtown Franklin, Fariview Plantation, Annandale, Blue Ridge, Hidden Point, Oak Hill, or Forest Hills. There are many many fine homes and neighborhoods all over Middle Tennessee!

By the way, there are also excellent shopping, health facilities, educational, and recreational factilities near all of these areas!
