Annette Lawrence answered:
If it is a LISTING at $1,000 (you will find it is not) then yep, you have the opportunity to buy it for $1,000....providing you meet all the associated criteria. That all the fine print you did not see or have elected not to share with us.

It is highly likely you observed this on Trulia. It is a advertisement of deception. You already know "If it's too good to be true...." and this is no exception.

If you are serious about making a real estate purchase you should rely on serious tools. Real estate data appearing on Trulia and Zillow are for entertainment purposes for the sole purpose of selling advertising to real estate agents. If you are serious, promote yourself to serious tools such as or or ANY real estate professional website. Better still, pick up the phone and CALL a REALTOR to get plugged into the real database.

Best of success

- Drive traffic to lead capture page with postcards
- Send sellers to lead capture page with google adwords and facebook ads
- Send sellers to lead capture page with craigslist ads
- Send a monthly email newsletter to your entire database

My landing page is through boldleads which comes with the training that taught me how to drive the traffic. I'm getting 3-5 seller leads a day now, and more on weekends. If I call them right away, I convert 1 out of 10 to a listing appointment with the scripts from the site.

Your Realtor should be able to give you an estimate of the closing costs. One variable is whether you or the seller is paying for title insurance.

The seller may instruct their Agent to do just that. However, it is the Seller, not the Agent, that determines how potential multiple offers will be handled.

Hi Disgruntled,

Welcome to Trulia Voices and thank you for alerting us about this. If you can provide our team with a link to the listing in question, or the complete property address and price, they can remove your listing from our site. Please access the link below and select the 'Contact Us' option in the upper right corner of the page to send this information to our Customer Service team.

I also recommend that you contact your listing agent or broker to make sure that your listing has been removed from other online sources as well. Trulia receives listing information not just from the MLS, but also directly from brokers, agents and aggregator sites like virtual tour providers and the like. If your listing is being shown as active on our site, chances are that's because it's being shown as active on another site as well.

Best Wishes,

Emily Gibson

Hi Darlene,

Welcome to Trulia and thank you for your question. I'm sorry that we weren't able to answer is much sooner.

We do not show this home to be for sale at this time. If you access the link that you included in your question you'll notice that there is no sale price listed for the property and the only information we show for the home is that which is public record.

I hope this allays some of your concerns. Please let us know if you have any further questions or feedback for us.

Best Wishes,
