It would be helpful to know what other qualities you are looking for in the home as well. Agents need to know the entire picture to better help service your families needs.

Venice is very active! It offers its residents unparalleled access to snorkeling, boating, kayaking, shelling, shark tooth hunting, birding, fishing, surfing, or just relaxing. Entertainment, medical, shopping and dining are everywhere and include historic Downtown Venice, the Venice Community Theatre, Splash Fountain at Centennial Park, The Venice Arboretum (hosting car shows, concerts and farmers market), Hecksher Park (basketball, shuffleboard, and tennis), the Lake Venice Golf course where you can golf on the Gulf!, Sharky's and the Venice Pier, the Venice Jetties, and South Brohard Park (the area's only dog beach). For cycling and running enthusiasts, the new Legacy Trail Overpass connects the Legacy Trail and the Venice Waterway Park to Downtown Venice for miles of peaceful enjoyment. There is a lot to do! Hi Tracey,
You have a few choices in beaches! If you wanted to visit Venice Beach, it's about 5.08 miles or 10 minutes. You could also visit Caspersen Beach just south of Venice Beach. Very beautiful and more rustic about 5.52 miles from Cumberland or 14 minutes. But don't forget about the private beach accessible by ferry off of Lemon Bay. That's only 1.69 miles and less than 5 minutes from Cumberland. For $95/year, you and your family can take the 3 minutes ferry ride to 1,300 feet of private beach right in Venice. Very nice! ... more

HI, Both streets are in South Venice. My friend lives on Fundy. It is a great street, close to the beach, park, shops, yet has more of a rural feeling. You cannot believe how many stars you can see at night. The neighborhood is friendly, when we are using the pool you can hear distant music and occasional sounds of people.
It is an area that is eclectic, prices in South Venice can be $70,000, or $500,000, or higher. It is septic and wells only, the residences keep refusing the county's offer to bring in water and sewer.
It is a great place to live, I would love to assist you in finding your new home. Look forward to hearing from you. In the meantime, go to my website for up to date listings throughout the area, plus lots of other information on the area.

The greater Sarasota can boast of all what you are looking for. Venice Hospital, Doctors Hospital and Sarasota Memorial all have excellent patient care. Outpatient clinics, Surgical centers and dental care are also scattered throughout the area. Sarasota Memorial also has a medical insurance plan and network. Since Wells Fargo took over Wachovia, there will be many Wells Fargo branches. Wells is in the final stages of the name and signage changes. I'm a golfer and there is no lack of courses to play. Public courses, semi-private and the very best private clubs are abundant. It's all what you wish to pay and or play.

Willis Schmidt answered:
This foreclosure was not dismissed in Aug 2008. That dismissal only applied to selected defendants. The property went to final judgement in Sept/09 and went to auction in Oct/09. It officially went back to the bank on Nov 3,'09 and was listed in the MLS on Nov 19, 2009 as a REO property. The bank (REO Dept) accepted a contract in Jan/'10 and it closed Feb 8, '10 for $90,000. It is not currently active in any MLS.

Unfortunately, the information you pulled up on Trulia was ancient history on a property that was off the market more than 180 days.
