The community is not bad lots of amenities. But if you are looking to rent just beware there are landlords there that are just out to make a buck and many owned several units. Susan Fratangelo is one of them. She harasses you for the rent before it is due and she takes advantage of her tenants. I was warned but at the time the price was right and the warning came, after i moved in. So if you or a parent is looking in the community my only advice would be steer clear of her units. ... more

Hi Jazzy,

Considering many frame homes have survived the hurricanes of the past. I would say yes. However its important to keep your home termite free and maintained. Frame homes are typically higher in insurance premiums too.

Hope that helps you.

Hi Skip,
I live in Rainberry Bay and it is a lovely 55 community that does allow small dogs, I believe a 20 lb limit, and cats.
I don't know if you are interested in buying or renting but we will be putting our villa up for sale soon. It is a 2 bedroom 2 bath villa. We redid the floors 1 year ago with ceramic tiles, some updates to the kitchen, enlarged and redid the patio with ceramic tiles. I am not a real estate agent, therefore, no commissions to pay. If interested in buying you can contact me at 914-474-2000, Peggy. ... more

Dear Starkchic,

There are many variables when pricing a home for current selling value. Variables like, location, views, age of roof, A/c. Updates like kitchen, bathrooms. Type of floors, land.....the list goes on.

I suggest that you ask a local Realtor the same question.
Im more then happy to help you with your question.

A lot of times the bank will not turn on the water for a home inspection on a foreclosure property. It is up to the buyers agent and the buyer to turn on the water for 1 day for a small fee from the county/water dept. to be able to do the inspection.

Most banks state in their listing or contract documents that the water will not be turned on and it's up to the buyer.

Contact the local water department and have them turn on the water for the day of the inspection so you can proceed with your contract without defaulting on the deadlines.

If you are working with an agent have him/her help you get it done!
