Your lease is between you and the owner of the condo. If you don't have the option to sublet then it would not be compliant with your lease to rent it to someone else. The owner did the proper background check and acquired a security deposit to reduce the risk and loss of their rental. If the owner wished to take the additional risk of short term rental ( which is generally much higher rent) and pay the short term bed tax that is required by the City of Palm Coast, they may would have rented it that way. Even if it is legal according to zoning, your lease grants the specific people on the lease specific rights. You would have to get the owners approval if you wish have anyone to share occupancy.
