I have done this. I took a home equity line of credit. I was not asked for a reason on this and there were very low costs associated with it. I think closing costs were in the $100-200 range. It can be used for anything...purchasing a vehicle is a common use. After approval, you can withdraw the money whenever you want. I'm not sure about any other loan types though. It seems to me that as long as you're still living in the first that all loan types would be available. ... more

The first step in this whole process would be to check with your property manager about the availability of a leasing certificate. If you have already contacted them about this and have gotten the thumbs up, I would suggest posting an advertisement on websites such as; Craigslist, Facebook and Twitter. A good way to get rid of your condo would be to market to those in your personal sphere.
