Property Taxes are a function of what services a community provides. Where there is a lot of infrastructure like water and sewer and there tax base is primarily residential with few commercial and industrial tax base, the tax burden is shifted and residents pay a greater percentage of the total property tax than in areas where there is a diversification of uses.
