Only if you agree to it, There's a legal contract (the existing lease) between you and the landlord, any changes the landlord wants to make must be done with your agreement. You may find yourself in an awkward situation however as Landlords have been known to make things uncomfortable for their tenants when they don't get their way. (Actually this applies to many people in general) So you have two choices, tell him thanks but no thanks you're perfectly happy with the existing lease you both signed and remind him it's a legal contract and that if forced you're prepared to see that it's honored, or offer to let him buy you out of the lease (his contract) for the equivalent of 2-3 months rent and start looking for another place to live. ... more

Hey Christina.. house prices in meadowlands do often sell below list price.. some much lower.. There is tons of inventory in there right now.. I would say get a buyers agent and make an offer.. If you don't use a buyers agent and use the listing agent of the house your interested in just remember.. they represent the seller first, and won't be just "your agent".
