Hello Tonifem30! There is a formula that is used to redeem ground rent. It is an algorithym that was developed to do so. Apply the numbers and voila, you have a redemption price. In the 21206 zip it would be worth your while to redeem the gr. rent while you are doing the refinance. Make sure though, that the refinance is really worth doing since you think you might sell in a year. It usually takes 18 months or longer to regain refinancing costs from the monthly savings.
