Dominion Valley and Piedmont are both nice communities with numerous amenities. We moved to Haymarket from FFX county in 2002. Both communities are family friendly. We looked at Dominion Vally but were turned off by the idea that you had to pay "extra" depending on what amenities you choose to use. ..which, to me, seems just flat out dumb. Traffic out of Haymarket going east is a major NIGHTMARE!!!! Hubby's commute to Fair Lakes (19 miles) took over 90 minutes EACH way, and widening 66 has not helped any with that. We no longer live in VA and I'm happy to report that I do not have to get on any interstate for any reason except to go to the city. If I had a choice now, I doubt I would have made that move. We moved because we got a lot more house for the money than we could in FFX county! ... more

They managed to build it so well that each time I drive through it feels new all over again, it really is beautiful and I know several friends and co-workers who live there, they absolutely love it. PS. The school is in the neighborhood, my church meets there on Sundays! Good luck with your move! ... more

Hi Liz- This is definitely a possibly but there are multiple things that you need to take into account. You would need to know if you have equity in your home or if you would have to rent it out. I would be happy to assist you with a free market analysis of your home. That would be your first step to determining what action you would need to take. I know there area very well as I live in Piedmont. Please contact me at anytime.
