Appraisers take a close look at the house, size, features then will compare the subject property to similar homes in a close proximity and recent sale (if possible). They will add to or subtract from the subject property the values of what the subject property has or doesn't have compared to the Comps. Appraisers will likely give less value to a fully finished basement even if it is a daylight basement they you might think. ... more
