Thanks for getting back to you. I'll let you know if I'd like to see a unit. I did see the foreclosure on the internet and it looks like it faces Main St. Is that correct?

It is a good thing to have. It depends on many factors and especially on condition of the house that you are buying.

Most likely the row home will be FHA approved; it's only if it's classified as a condominium that eligibility is questioned. The only reason FHA wouldn't approve the row would be if the property had significant repairs that could not be taken care of before settlement. An FHA inspector/appraiser will visit the property to approve of the condition and possibly require repairs such as, but not limited to: making sure property has a railing anywhere there are more than three steps, repaint any areas with peeling paint, repair a broken window, etc. ... more

Hi, Pedro.

I will more or less be repeating what was already said below. If this property is in Philadelphia, try the following websites:

Board of Revision Taxes: http://brtweb.phila.gov/

Zillow: http://www.zillow.com/

Also, you can always contact a licensed RE professional who can look up sold properties for you on the MLS and send you the information for free.

Lots of luck to you, Pedro.

Best,
Tim

Hi, Shaun.

I just took a look in the MLS/Public Records and 148 Hermitage St. is listed as a vacant lot (14' x 50'). Where did you find this particular property?

If this is the corner of Hermitage & Smick, I know there is new construction going on along that block; brand new townhomes.

Please let me know if you have any further questions and I'll help you out, buddy.

Best,
Tim
