Richard Swartz, Quakertown, PA

Joy,
I taught school in Souderton for 40 years so am familiar with the Souderton/Telford area. At the same time I've lived in Quakertown for over thirty years. Quakertown is similar in many ways to Telford but there are a few differences. It is definitely more "compact" than Souderton/Telford, but in some ways is more convenient. For example: Shopping - There's a lot more stores to choose from, making trips to Montgomeryville or Whitehall (Lehigh Mall, etc.) less frequent. Transportation-wise you'e a little closer to getting where you want to go (309 [like Telford], the turnpike, closer to 78, etc.). It's heritage is a bit different as well which has an influence even into the present day. Fortunately, both are well-run "safe" communities and I think you'll feel right "at home,"
My only regret is there's no "Bread on Broad" in Quakertown! Other than that it's a nice community and good place to live.

Welcome,
Rich
