Why not talk to a REALTOR who can give you a market analysis? AND represent you so you don't get taken advantage of? Hard for anyone to give you an opinion on what's "fair". Too many factors involved in a real estate transaction and too many parts of the contract to be negotiated. (Keep in mind, it's not all about price). Are they cash buyers? Will they do an inspection? Thoughts? Yes. How can you justify asking home owners to pay you a commission for selling their homes when you don't want to pay one to a buyer's agent on your own home?
Look up the definition of hypocrite.
If I were competing agents in the area, I would consider making copies of your ads/yard sign to use against you at future listing appointments.
One other thing, go back and read the contract you signed with your broker. They generally state how things will be handled if you sell your own home. You may find you have to go through your broker to list your home for sale per your contract, some make it a requirement as they do not want their agents doing FSBOs.... more
Hi Jerry, I do believe I showed your house last year and the buyers were torn between yours and one other which they eventually went with. If you can shoot me an e-mail with the price you are looking for, I have some buyers looking over there but not finding much. Best of luck either way, if it's the house I'm thinking of it showed well.
