A home in the Chathams is a great start - that is for sure. The pace of sale is strong overall this spring and that holds true for both the Borough and the Township.

Taking your half bath to a full is a great idea. I am working with a number of buyers who consider 2 full their minimum and they are likely in your price band. Of course, it is not uncommon for homes of the age to be one full, one half, but have two full will distinguish you amid the competition.

The family room/gathering place is an attraction to buyers.

Spend your money carefully so as not to overdo it - while you may not recoup the investment, the money spent will undoubtedly help your home sell more quickly and with that at the highest price the market will bear.

Be aware that scams do exist; be mindful that such web sites are third party sites, so the information is fed by various sources, therefore data is not really verified. If you choose not to work with an agent of your own always verify ownership before exchanging any money/personal information--make certain they are who they claim to be. Never wire any money, if it sounds too good to be true, it is. For scam related information see link.

The best thing to do is to FLAG the listing and the Trulia staff will look into it and remove it. Go to the listing. Look for the menu item MORE, click on that then on the dropdown menu click FLAG ... more
