When you close the door, escorting the agent out the door, ask yourself, "Do I trust that person to represent the sale of my home?"
While experience is important and demonstrated knowledge of the local values of homes, you cannot manufacture trust. As a homeowner, you are in control of the listing and sale of your home. You need to find an agent that not only is able to answer buyer questions about your home, town/city and neighborhood, but someone who will reflect the manner in which you do business.
Do they return messages and calls promptly? Consistently hit deadlines? Able to craft and tell a story of your home to entice buyers?
Those are the questions you should be able to answer when finishing a listing appointment with an agent. If any of those answers are no, keep shopping.... more
I love food so there are too many to choose just one. I love going to Naked Oyster on Main Street, this is more of a romantic spot for me so usually don't go too often, just when I feel like being romantic. Really enjoyed Pizza Barbone, some may feel the prices are higher for pizza than some other places but it is made from quality organic ingredients and you can taste the difference.
I am slightly bias on this one, but rightly so, my favorite spot is Seaside Pub on Main. Quality, delicious, fun food, made by chef-owner Uy Phu and his brother Sunny Phu. Half price apps from 5pm-7pm everyday, very very competitively priced drinks. Let's just say, you get a lot more for your $ without sacrificing on the deliciousness of the food, good news if you are buying a home. You can still have fun without breaking the bank.... more
