There certainly are some great towns with excellent schools. I recommend Needham for not only the school system but the ease of commuting and it is less than 11 miles to Boston. Needham has 4 train stops, the commuter bus. Needham has 4 exits from Route 95/128, it is minutes to Route 9 and the Mass Turnpike is less than 15 minutes. The advanced education is great and Needham is a college town and next to Wellesley which has Babson and Wellesley College. Needham has such a community spirit. There are so many clubs and such camaraderie in this community I would say it is hard to find this. Needham is celebrating it's 300th birthday this year and there are wonderful events throughout the year culminating with a big gala in the Needham Town Hall which is being done over completely.
Dover is a sister town to Needham and 10 minutes from Needham center. Dover schools are excellent and not a great distance to major highways but has the appeal of a small quintessential town.
