All excellent answers. If you are an FHA buyer, the lender requires any power tower to be outside of a "fall-line" which means in the unlikely event the tower should fall it will not land on the subject property.

Whether or not there are health issues have been debated for decades as we are exposed to EMF's in many forms on a regular basis. The effect on value is greatly impacted.

I raised my sons in the Cambrian school district, we lived across the street from power lines and now they are having children of their own. When we sold that home we did take a little hit, however we had gained significant appreciation over the years we owned. And if given the opportunity I would still live in that house.

It is a personal decision which should be researched to your own satisfaction.

What determines in your mind as a "best school?" I've worked with people who needed specific education for their children. Perhaps a child with special needs would be served by a school which had programs for them. What about arts, music, science and sports? Every child is different and the test scores may not be reflective of the individual need of your children.

Both my children attended schools in Cambrian. My older son needed more one on one attention and Leigh High had a great program for that. He also thrived in science at Union Middle. Both sons appreciated the GATE programs afforded to them in elementary school. My younger son enjoyed the free music program at Farnham Elementary and excelled in math at Dartmouth middled.

When people ask me about "best schools" I always ask back what is best for their child and to do the research based on their childs needs. Sometimes that may be private school.

What I as a parent loved about Cambrian is the care the teachers gave and the involvement of the parents.
