Hi Regina,

The Madison Metropolitan School District offers a vast variety of expertise and opportunity for all ages and education levels. I definately would visit the school districts site at I have a 7th (middle school) and 5th (elementary) school age children. Until you are here, and actually have a moment to drive through some of the neighborhoods you may not be able to narrow down your seach for schools. When I have clients relocating into area I set up meetings for the parents and the principals of the schools with interest so they can see the teachers and classrooms in action - they get a feel for the floor plan and are offered a general overview of the school's curriculum. You chilren's education will possibly be one of your more important concerns. The neighborhoods that feed into these schools will help determine your lifesyle's likes and/or needs. I spend a good amount of time with clients moving into the area ..... you definately need to get a tour of the area.....put on your walking shoes and ask a lot of questions. Please don't hesitate to drop me an email - I would be happy to connect you to soccer, swimming, dance, karate.....other curricular areas you will no doubt need. All in All - You Will Love it Here!

If you have a child in grades 1-8 with learning disabilities, try Walbridge School. This school specializes in providing individualized curriculum and small class size (student teacher ratio of no more than 8:1) for kids with dislexia, speech and language issues, disgraphia, ADD, ADHD, and more. It is located on Madison's west side, at 7035 Old Sauk Road. Call 833-1338 or visit the website: Students come from diverse backgrounds and often with self esteem issues due to frustration with previous school experience. Once at Walbridge, many parents report "I have my child back!" The school also offers summer sessions in reading , writing, and math. ... more

I taught in Middleton as student teacher and also taught in Middleton and Madison area schools as well. It depends on what grade school you are looking. If you are looking at high schools, the clubs and extra curriculum is big one and that again what your children’s interests are? My son graduated from High school two years back and I can tell you more about the difference. However Verona, Middleton both has good schools.
Now you have to analyze which fits best for you, if you need help in that

Hi Josh,
Darren has given you good advise..the client should do the research based on their criteria.
What's important? Sports programs vs academics? In terms of academics, things like graduation rates,
Advanced Placement courses, International Baccalaureate programs, gifted and talented programs at the elementary and middle school district websights should help with these items listed.
best of luck
