Give them a "Forcible Entry and Detainer Demand before Suit" (5 day eviction notice). They can take this to charity organizations who may help them pay the rent. It also lets them know you are serious and will take the next step if need be. After 5 full work days if they have not paid go to the county and start eviction proceedings.
In the meantime read the Oklahoma Landlord Act.

Unfortunately, you're correct about OKC not being as advanced as Atlanta as far as Public Transportation. However, the central bus station located downtown would be an easy walk from several downtown area apartments, and would offer you the most options as far as destinations and stops from one central location without changing buses. I will tell you, however, that OKC is about a 70 mile commute to and from Stillwater, and I am unaware of any bus schedule that routinely makes that specific journey. If you're set on OKC, I would focus my search on apartments located in Downtown and Bricktown (although Bricktown is a bit further from the Bus Station).

Have you considered possibly moving to Stillwater?

If you don't have credit there are some companies out there that will work off of utility history and previous rental history. They may require a larger deposit but they are out there.

Are you interested in renting or buying? And if you are buying , I'm sure you will use your VA loan.
Do you have children, what price range, how many bedrooms do you need. And do you know what area of OKC you want? Midwest City is where the AFB is.
I just last May helped a couple move to here in Midwest City from Germany!!! I sent them several extra pictures that I went and took my self and they bought the home sight unseen, but of course she was able to be here to walk thru and go to closing. I had even took cared of all inspections, getting them schuled & any repairs done.
Do you need help with lender or are you pre-qualified??
I would love to help you!!!!

First of all, I would file a police report for theft. Then I would leave a message with relatives you have notified the police and take it from there.

With lots of research.

1. Call the Landlords from the "Rent" Tab above on home that meet your needs.
2. Drive the neighborhoods you are interested in and call of the "For Rent" signs
3. Call the "For Rent" listings in the Sunday edition of the local paper
