I am from Napa County and when I was having trouble finding a place, (because they only give you a certain amount of time before you lose your voucher, if you don't find something) I was given a phone number to a lady that worked for the housing authority and her job was just that; finding homes/apartments for Section 8 voucher holders that were having a very hard time. Maybe if you call your local housing authority and explain what I just did, they might have someone like that to help in your area. Good luck!!!! ... more

There are some that will work with people that have credit issues. Everyone's financial issues are different so they are generally looked at on a case by case basis. Landlords may want additional deposit money but something can usually be worked out. There are also some lease purchase options available if that is the route that you decide is best for you... You qualify with the program; pick a property in one of their approved communities; decide if you want them to renovate the kitchen and bathrooms and add that to the price of the property, you lease the property for up to three years and have the option to buy at a predetermined price at the end of each year.

Others have given you the HOA fees.
I know of no restrictions on leasing, but you would have to review the HOA documents normally after you sign a contract to purchase. Occasionally we can get a copy before hand.
Most communities here do not have a restriction on leasing.
There are plenty of leased units in this community.

Well I saw a house in Stonebriar and a few houses in Starwood Village but they're a bit small.But there is a house in Stonebriar for lease 5,936 square feet and a 12,236 square foot lot it's 4 bedrooms has a pool and jacuzzi 5.5 bathrooms it doesn't however have a media room it has a little area that has a few cabinets and a television it's a very nice house it's in Stonebriar but there's no price on it yet I am waiting to see the monthly rent for the house. ... more

I don't want to alarm you since I don't know your time frame, but limiting a rental home to a school will take quite a while to find something. It is possible to find something it's just a long process.

I have had many clients with the same request that I was able to help but they started very early, months before their current lease ended.

It will be easy to pull homes for a 6 month lease. It is typically up to each landlord on if they wish to do short term leases, but the ones that are open to it typically list in our MLS system for easy searching.
