Not too much other than try a private owner perhaps. Most people these days are going to run a background check and see the eviction. Or offer to pay the full year of rent up front where nonpayment wont be an issue. Otherwise not too much as you cant force someone to rent to you. ... more

There are lots of important steps you can take on own to insure you are fully educated on financial aspects of ALL REAL COSTS of Homeownership that will enable you to make a smart investment section about a particular house or condo. Use InBedrock.com to learn about analyzing house purchase price, closing costs, Appraisal, Attorney Fees, mortgage financing/points,
+ Bank Approval Process(how much can I afford with X $ amount as downpayment), RE Taxes + Title Costs, Transfer Taxes, RE Broker commissions, etc. As this will probably be your biggest $ investment in lifetime, good idea to be as informed as possible. InBedrock.com is easy to use/understand, educational and in-depth.

Hello,

We’re excited you’re using Trulia for your home search process. We are a real estate search engine so we don't represent the homes found on our site. Please follow these steps to begin your home search:

1. Click the "Rent' tab at the top of our homepage.
2. Enter your desired city and state in the search bar and hit Enter.
3. Click 'Max Price' to select what your highest price would be to pay for a home. Click 'Min Price' to set the lowest price you would pay.
4. Click 'More Filters'.
5. Select your preferred property type, square footage, etc.
6. Click the red 'Apply' button.

This will begin to pull up listings that are more tailored to what you are looking for.

If you are interested in a listing, click on the "Contact the agent" button to get in touch with a real estate professional in your area. You can also take advantage of our vast network of agents here:

Gavin McNeal answered:
It's a little early unless you are moving into a corporate owned rental community where they have several units available. If you have a place in mind in Harbordale, go, look and find out what the rates are for moving in. As far as traditional rental units. It's early unless you happen to see one that is occupied until your move in date. Traditional renting is going to require 1st, last, security and in Harbordale there are only 2 active rental listings in the MLS under $995. You may want to consider some other locations as well. ... more

Tracey,
I found the listing you're asking about for sale, but also for rent. I'd be very careful as scams are all too common on line. NEVER send money expecting keys. If you can't deal with someone locally, move along.
I've attached the Rental Warning Trulia posts below. Read it and please don't be a victim.

Hi Fabio, Yes, there are monthly rentals on the market. I would suggest working with a realtor, such as myself, to find current listings and who can work with you on your specific criteria and timeframe. Also, depending on location, we're getting into season so prices may increase during the next few months as many northerners come down during the winter months. ... more
