Marci,

If you are considering renting in North Hermosa the two neighborhoods you may be most interested in are known as the Golden Hills and the TRW Tract. The Golden Hills consists of "tall and skinny" homes on 25x100 foot lots. You generally get quite a bit more home for the price than other SFRs in the area, but the downside is that the layout is usually 2 beds down/1 up (not ideal for families) and parking is a challenge for friends or visitors. The TRW Tract is a cute area and pretty convenient to LA Airforce Base.
I saw that another realtor mentioned Hollyglen and Del Aire, which is somewhat of a secret pocket of Hawthorne with it's own school system.....definitely something to consider.
