Harry, good morning. The House at 35 Ocean Street was just listed 4 days ago at $219,900. It has a "tight" septic tank which must be pumped every two months. The showing instructions request 24 hour notice if possible.

Should you like to view this property, feel free to contact me.

Hi Nilsa,

I am an agent and I have lived in Halifax for the past 12 years with my husband and 2 children and love it.

Here is the number of an engineer who is very knowledgeable about Septic Systems and can answer all of your questions and concerns. Mike Perrault - P.M.P Assoc 508-378-3421

You can also call the Board of health and ask if they can pull the file to find out the age of the system, if it has passed title 5 and if it has a record of annual pumpings. From what I have learned the general life expectancy of a system is 20 years...however they can fail before that or they can last longer , so it is just an estimated number

As far as the mosquitos...If you have standing water it creates an environment for them to breed. I have acres of wetlands and a river behind my home and yes there are mosquitos, but we call Plymouth County Mosquito Controll every year around mid may and they come out (free of Charge) to spray our yard and it really seems to help.

Let me know if I can answer any other questions , I would be glad to help!
