Hello Stephan,

CB Smith park is the primary park located in Pembroke Pines but there are also larger parks on the outskirts of the city as well. TY Park is also a larger park with lots of oak and pine trees. Its located in Hollywood, FL and is over 150 acres and includes swimming, biking, bbq, and even a camp ground for tents or RVs.
There are also several area parks for kids to play on playgrounds, shoot a few hoops, baseball or softball or soccer fields. You can find them in Pembroke Pines and the cities on the outskirts of Pembroke Pines such as Cooper City, Hollywood, Miramar.

Theres plenty to do, if you dont want to hang out at a park theres always Dave and Busters or Wanna do city for kids and plenty for adult entertainment as well.

Have fun.

Fort Lauderdale's Harbor Beach has its' own private beach with gated access to the beach and community. Your budget would be on the very low side but you might be able to obtain a non-waterfront older & smaller home that is part of the HOA. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience.

The dog park in Coral Springs is not very good, it's not maintained very well and there are a lot of people that have dogs that are dominant/aggressive and don't seem to recognize that this type of dog is not appropriate for a dog park. There's a nicer dog park in Coconut Creek (Windmill Park) as well as one further away in Ft. Lauderdale (Snyder Park). Even though it's more a drive for me I feel more comfortable taking my dog to these other dog parks. ... more

Simply put, Plantation's parks are some of the best in South Florida. They're well-kept, clean and offer a ton of sports and recreation activities. Volunteer Park is home to a kids-specific play area, known as Camp Everglades, while swimmers love to spend time at the Aquatics Complex and future Serena Williams' and Roger Federers convene at the Veltri Tennis Center. And yes, the Happy Tails Dog Park in Seminole Park is a great place to let your dog run wild. ... more

Quiet Waters is a true treasure. You have to try the water ('cable') skiing. It is a great way to cool off in the heat, bring all your friends (and your video camera!). Pioneer Park is a 13.5-acre park with a wide variety of amenities that are sure to please everyone. For the sports fan there are three ball fields, six tennis courts, a lighted basketball court, in-line hockey rink and a multi-purpose field for soccer and flag football. Boaters can take advantage of the ramp that leads into the Hillsboro Canal to the ocean. Outdoor amenities include picnic tables and a gazebo, which is available to rent for picnics and parties. Yes there are dog parks which I will research for you, running paths -- try the beach, A1A -- especially great for rollerblading. ... more
