Is it worth the purchase now? It also has a pool, so we wouldn't want to rent it because of the liability. If we move in the winter, I don't know if people want to pay extra for it either.…

Depends on your state, but I have seen mostly 30 - 60 days to return deposit minus charges for damage.

Unfortunately, we currently do not have listings for rent to own homes. You may try your luck though and search our website using the Keyword section of the search filter which can be found in the All Filters button. However, these listings are extremely rare.

If you can, try to stay away from Binghamton itself, being as it's either all student housing or terribly run-down apartments. Look into neighboring towns, such as Vestal, Endicott or Endwell. ... more

The big question is how much is your voucher? There are plenty of apartments available but it depends how much you can afford to pay in rent and how many bedrooms you need. If you can afford $3 - 4,000./month for a 2 bedroom, you will find plenty of available apartments. If all you can afford is $2,000. for a 2 bedroom, forget it. It will be very difficult. ... more

Hi Ss2012,

The only upfront costs when you buy using a VA loan are your earnest money deposit which can be anywhere from $1.00 to $10,000 depending on the market you're in & the purchase price of the home. You'll also have to pay for your home inspection & appraisal out of pocket BUT that maybe refunded to you at closing if negotiate enough in seller concessions to cover all of your closing costs.

Take a look at the recommendations from some of my past clients on my Trulia profile by clicking the link below my phone number.
