Taxes last year for a like kind property sitting just beside this home were $5800. Walton County where this home is located will probably be raising taxes this coming year. If I had to take a guess on this home for next year they will be somewhere in the area of $6,900. Taxes are misstated on the estimate of monthly expenses. They are not $1,183 per month. Old Florida Fish House with a great band and dance floor is just a couple of miles away is a great place. This is basically a resort area so there are an abundance of restaurants, bars and entertainment venues all along the coast. This is the first home to be built and the association fee has not been determined. If you want to send me an e-mail I would be glad to let you know as soon as it is released. There are other new homes being built in this area. I have a listing of one about to be built soon. It is MLS #606259 on Lot 18 Water Oaks Loop. It is 1422 sf and priced at $179,900.

Two years is a good estimate for REO sales. I think that after that period we will see activity, depending upon what happens after the election, based upon the return of those buyers who had their credit tarnished by unfortunate exposure to the market when it was at it's peak. People will be moving from rentals back into being home buyers. Real Estate is still one of the better investments available to the average citizen. ... more
