Here is a link to the City of Punta Gorda for items that need a permit.

You can contact them with questions at any time.

Punta Gorda Isles does have deed restrictions and ordinances, so you need to check with them before painting. Here is a link for that: http://www.pgica.org/about_pgica/uniqueLandRegulations.html

A Diplomat Home, since it says that you are looking in "My neighborhood in Diplomat" is an area in the North section of Cape Coral. Diplomat Parkway runs east to west, and ends at Burnt Store Road on the west end, and U.S. 41 on the east end. This is a growing area, though still sparsely populated. The first traffic light was finally installed 7-10 years ago. Because it takes you to U.S, 41, I suspect this will end up being a major road in North Cape Coral. We used to race our cars out on this road back in the 80's when there were hardly any homes in sight. Diplomat Middle School was built in 1987, and is used as a hurricane shelter. This is a reverse osmosis plant that has been there for many years. It has grown and has been expanded over the years. Yes, it effects your property in value in terms of possibly being an eyesore. I have not found the smell to be a problem in that area unless you are actually AT the plant. There is the ambient sound of humming machinery, though they have done a good job if minimizing that. I found homes to be a little more difficult to sell there, though if priced well, folks will overlook certain things like that plant. How much is your view worth? This is a "clean water" plant. It's purpose to take water from the underground aquifer, and convert it into drinkable water.

Here is information on the plant:

If you want to try something different, go to Aji Limon near Del Prado and Pine Island Road. Order the civeche, causa (appetizer), anticuchos, and perhaps the seafood soup. Buen Provecho! I certainly can't call it the best, because that is so speculative, but its a break from routine. ... more

There is a lot to be said for buying a home that has been completely renovated. I buy and sell real estate as well. And when I do, my approach is to use products and skills that would my mind at ease as if I was going to put my own family in the home. Homes that have not been renovated can come with many unexpected, and expensive costs. My homes for example are move in ready, no work needed, and I then secure it with a home warrantee just to make sure the buyer has peace of mind. I have even installed high tech security in homes, and paid for a 3 year contract just to make sure the home buyer is safe and sound.

An example of my work can be seen with this current listing nearby:

It would my pleasure to help you understand mortgage financing, and how to secure the lowest interest rate and closing costs. Some mortgage professionals will focus on rates, fail to mention costs, and hope you don't shop around. I feel its my duty and privledge to help you understand the entire transaction, including how the bond market works, how the age of a roof could raise your monthly insurance payment $100's, flood zones, etc. Then, you simply tell me what payment you are comfortable, and I go to work for YOU.

All of Cape Coral is safe generally, but that area enjoys an even more safe enviornment, mostly because it is more developed with closer neighbors. Because the average income is higher in that area, typically those homes may have alarm systems as well. And because there are more retirees focused in that area, their presence and caring attitude helps.

Hi there,
I have seen situations where people have made a mistake in tagging a property. In this case the home is a single family residence. It was sold 3/3/2012. Please see the link below for verification. Happy to help you find similar properties if you are interested.

Since no address is listed I am unable to confirm if the property is a single family home or multi family property. Multi housing includes things such as a duplex or a 4-plex where as a single family home is simply that - a single unit property.

As a resident of Cape Coral for almost 24 years I know the area extremly well and would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

I also have a detailed brochure that explains what non US citizens need to know when buying or selling property in the US. If you would like a copy please feel free to contact me.

Hi Tiger,

Yes, you can change the color.

If you are in a gated community, you will need to go through the association for guidelines.

I have a few referrals from prior buyers on painters if you would like a list.
