I see you are also a local resident like I am. I actually have resided in Haworth my entire life. I agree with Barbara's answer with respect to the frequency of the train traffic in Haworth and the issues with how any tracks are set and the condition of them. But the freight train only comes through town I think 3 times a day. If you drive through Haworth near the railroad tracks you will see some of the most lovely homes in town, many that I have admired for years. Don't forget, a lot of towns in our area have railroad tracks, some for commuter and some for freight. I would say that in most cases, the impact on home values in Haworth and towns nearby by any of these tracks is offset by the many terrific features these towns offer, and especially Haworth with it's park-like setting and the many amenities and services available to residents. So whatever it is, if you find a house you love and want to buy in Haworth or you have decided it's time to sell your beautiful home, if it's near the tracks, think of it as every day noise we all have to live with like fire horns, fire truck sirens, ambulance and police vehicles and the occasional call of wild turkeys...... Just a little "white noise".
