If you included a mortgage in your bankruptcy that was secured by the house, the bank can foreclose on the house whenever they want. Period. End of story. The house was/is the bank’s security/collateral for the money (mortgage) that you borrower so they have the right to liquidate the collateral to cover their losses.

Sorry.

Now the topic about heating and cooling the sunroom slipped and came up. I never mentioned I heated and cooled it. They mentioned that yes that woulkd increase taxes but only implied as if I opened up the doorwall permanently and installed hating and cooling vent form central furnace and AC unit. They stated if you just use a Space heater it would have no affect. I then asked them what if you used a window unit or wall unit and if it would increase taxes and the person I talked to kind of paused and hesitated and said not really. I had mentioned I always keep the doorwall there and only use it as 3 season room, even though I use it year round as an exercise room, but still keep the doorwall there and close it. In my heart, it uis part of the living space but of course I would never want to let the city know this.

Now on to my Paranoid part. Because I had called the city and mentioned my home address, could I have drawn attention to my address and could they come looking on their own time and see I have a PTAC unit installed as well as privacy curtains (none of which I got a permit for after sunroom was installed) and decide to slap more taxable value to it? Someone had mentioned it is highly unlikely because they are too busy and the person I talked to may not have anything to do with tax collector but even if they did, the odds that they remembered my call 1 hour after I hung up are almost nill. However what really is scaring me now is I remember that person mentioned they were in that same neighborhood as me when mentioned my address. Does that manh they likely will look and remember it and slap more taxable value to it?

Can someone provide assurance I have nothing to worry about and what they added $3K to taxable value is it and they are done? I can accept that, but I will not accept them adding anymore. Does anyone who knows how city of Troy, Michigan or Oakland County, Michigan in general works and if I have to be worried about anything because of the phone call especially since the person stated they live in my neighborhood even though they stated a wall or window unit not really regarding adding more taxes. I never mentioned I did anything they were just questions that slipped.

Hello,

I apologize we have false foreclosure information listed on our home details page. This data is provided to us from Zillow foreclosures and we currently do not have the ability to edit or remove the information that they are sending us.

Please be advised that I have created a request regarding the removal of the erroneous foreclosure information for your home on Zillow.

Once the status is removed from Zillow, it will automatically update to Trulia after 24-48 hours.

For information about this program and other Down Payment Assistance programs, you need to speak with a lender. There are quite a few and all are slightly different with regard to qualifications - both borrower and property.

If you'd like a referral to an excellent lender, contact me. You can also ask for referrals from family, friends and co-workers, or contact your bank or credit union to get started.

Best of luck!
