It's pretty simple, you were foreclosed on, so as to it being reported as a foreclosure, that is what happens the minute you were foreclosed on. The cash for keys was offered only in relation to an "eviction", two separate things totally.

Move forward and work to get back on track

She would not qualify for the "good neighbor next door" program unless she is also going to be living in the home.

There are many ways a parent can "help" their children purchase a home, everything from outright purchase with cash and acting as the lender, to co-borrower on an FHA loan. She should talk to her lender and see what options there are. She should also talk to her tax/CPA. ... more

We can only speculate as to why it was taken off the market. The only way to know is to contact the agent.

I once placed an offer on a property for a buyer, above market value (very similar situation to yours), and the next day the property was off the market. Turns out, the home had been vandalized. The property went back on the market a month later.

Don't speculate, try to find out what happened by contacting the listing office. If it hasn't gone back on the market, you may still have an opportunity.
