Probably, but you will pay higher interest and won't get a big loan - but probably enough to buy something decent in IA.

Complete a loan application with a local lender and the lender will be able to advise on which loan products are available.

As mentioned below, VA and USDA don't require a down payment. You might also want to consider the 203K, homepath renovation, and homestyle rehab loans. Let me know if you have questions about any of the programs mentioned or would like to get started with a free professional assessment.

Thank you,

Hello Jerilyn:

Great Question.

There are many different types of loans that fit a variety of different buyer needs. I agree with Mandy that there are not necessarilty loan packages for the specific need your inquired about. Having said that, all lenders, whether Mortgage Brokers, Banks or Credit Unions have different programs and different closing costs which vary ... more complex than I can cover here, However, if you would like a list of local lenders (including Mandy) I have relationships with, I would be happy to compile a short list.

Feel free to call or email me for additional information.

I have to agree with all the responses you have gotten so far. All buyers need to have a Licensed Realtor in the State of Wisconsin to accompany them into every home/condo for sale. All showings must be recorded with the Listing Agency showing Who the REALTOR was who went through the property, the date and the time as well as (not mandatory) the Last Name of the Buyer (for procurement reasons) as well as what Agency Relationship the Realtor showing the home/condo has with the Buyer they are taking through a property ... 3 choices here ... 1) Buyer Agency 2) Seller Agency or Pre-Agency. There is alot more to just getting access to a property involved here. Hope this helps. Best of Luck with your home search! ... more

Hi Joy,

You already have a few agents that have offered their services. I live in Racine County and I love it here. Racine is very large, so where you live is going to depend on your personal needs such as commuting to work.

You can either choose from as reputable site such as Trulia or you can ask your current agent, if you have one in Nevada, to refer someone from Wisconsin. Just make sure that they actually know the agent they are referring to you.

And I agree strongly with the comment made by Mini and David. I just had what we call a "dry closing" last week due to the out of town funding. I also have several lenders that I have worked with for years. They are trustworthy and very reliable. They stay on top of everything and keep you informed every step of the way so that nothing slips through the cracks.

Let any of us know if we can help and please come back to let us know how you did. We often get questions from buyers, but never hear from them again. It would be nice to hear from you once you are settled.

Best of Luck
