Kelli, All the Jersey Heights lots are privately owned. There are a few that have not been developed yet. One owner lives behind Jersey Heights and purchased the lots to keep from having someone build right behind him, the other lot is going to be developed. Let me know what you would like and I will see what I can locate for you. Come see me today at 206 Country Club or give me a call.

Be aware that texas has expansive clay soils. They can move with rain or being to dry. That can crack even excellent slabs. That requires a water plan to keep the soil happy so it does not move.
Years ago wix lumber (out of business now in my area) had kits for houses. All the lumber and plans. You put it together yourself. Maybe you can find something similar today. The internet is an excellent resource for such information.
I am not sure of the costs you asked about. Try looking up foundation in the yellow pages or google foundation contractors in that town on the net. Thickness and rebar used can change price a lot. Compare apples to apples. Once you find the foundation information you can ask them to recommend some well and septic people. Or look them up the same way. Remember, if you do not have a septic system plan anything they tell you could be very wrong. Each piece of land has unique needs for septic design. Yours could use a cheap or expensive system.... more
HELLO, THERE ARE MANY HOMES THAT HAVE BEEN REDUCED AND ARE GREAT, I AM A FIRM BELIEVER THAT IF YOU FEEL YOU NEED TO WRITE AN OFFER ON A HOME THEN YOU SHOULD DO IT. THE WORST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN IS THEY SAY NO.. THEN YOU CAN MOVE ON. BUT IF YOU REALLY WANT THIS HOME REGARDLESS IF IT HAS BEEN THERE FOR A WHILE OR NOT THEN YOUR BEST BET IS TO GIVE YOUR BEST OFFER. PLEASE EMAIL ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CHAT ABOUT THIS. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK CRUZJANICE21@AOL.COM... more
V.A. and USDA loan programs still exist, if you qualify. These are the only 100% loans. Everybody else is bringing 3.5% minimum to the table. Suggest a financial evaluation to put you on a plan to be ready to buy a home in the next 1-2 years. It's great that you didn't quit the day job and the business is taking off. If it's paying for itself in the first year, that's a great start for a new business. So, you appear to have some business savvy.
I suggest contacting my friend, Rodney Anderson at Rodney Anderson Lending Services. 1-800-express or 972-985-5208. He has a great seminar coming up in Dallas this Summer called 'Saving your Financial Life', which we just attended earlier this month in Fort Worth. As a result of that seminar in Fort Worth, we are now working with people who didn't think they could qualify to buy a home, and we put others on the path to get there in the next 6-24 months. www.rodneyanderson.com is the website.
Have a blessed day!

I'm soo sorry to hear about your predicament you are in. Prior to my full time real estate career; I was a financial and credit counselor helping people repair and prepare their credit for mortgages and other important loans needed. There is currently a company that I have scrutinized and reviewed thoroughly that I am currently sending client to. They have a program designed to repair credit scores within a couple months to a year and it's 100% money back guaranteed.
If you are finding that you are running out of options and would like more info on this company; I'd be more than happy to help.
