Hello benandcheryl,

There are plenty of loans available post BK. Some you have to wait 6 months others 1yr, keep in mind that rates would be a bit higher. Since you qualify for a VA loan this maybe a little different for you. I would recommend a local Mortgage broker / lender that specializes in VA loans.

Good Luck!!

In Sunset Greens, the gates are open during the week days, and closed evenings and weekends. The HOA fees are reasonable and take care of front and back yard maintenance.

Easy living - :)

Excellent community - I know quite a few people who live there and love it.

Recent tax assessments are also autopopulated in our listings and we can go to tax records with a click of a button in our MLS. Some areas have SIDs along with HOA and Master Plan fees. Rule of thumb used to be 1% but now it is crazy with values plummeting. ... more

Get a few bids on your plans and specs and do not enter into agreements unitl you have a written contract with all the costs, including all upgrades and the cost of change orders. Be careful, caution might include agent representation. It is never a bad idea to have someone else on your side watching out for your interests.
