Has anyone dealt with Parkwood Estates in Glen Oaks. Would you know what their application fee is if someone is interested in buying a coop?

The question is subjective, therefore if you have noise concerns, consider revisiting the area more than once and simply listen; don't just entertain what other people think or say, another's opinion may not be anywhere near the best thing for you since noise sensitivity levels are not the same for all individuals, some do tolerate more sounds than others.... ... more

Floral Park Village has much higher taxes than Queens Village and Floral Park, Queens for that matter. This is because you're not only paying state taxes, but village taxes as well. Also naturally you are going to pay a different amount of taxes depending on the size of your home and lot. Any upgrades to the home can result in a higher tax rate as well. ... more

Good morning Donna Olsten,

Under Federal Fair Housing regulations, we real estate and mortgage professionals are not permitted to discuss crime or various other topics about homes for rent or sale or about communities.

Thanks. I just saw the appraisal report. They used 5 comps that were across rail road tracks. In the same town but houses priced lower than in my area. 2 of the houses have railroad tracks next to their backyard and 1 house is 1 block from the train station where there is a commuer parking lot. I would never live in or next to any of these houses. I wrote a letter to appraiser and included 6 other very similar comps all sold within last 6 months and even closer to my house. Asked him for a FAIR appraisal. My mortgage guy has also done the same. If he still comes back with same price. Can I ask for a second appraisal or put a compaint in against this appraiser? He is totally unfamiliar with area and because of this the appraisal is way off. ... more
