Interesting question and I once faced this exact question. I currently live in the Little Elm/Frisco area and debated on purchasing an older home in Plano or Carrollton. I'm glad that we decided to move where we are. Newer homes, you save on energy, and nice neighborhoods. The only downside here is the commute. If you work in Dallas for instance, you will be driving between 20 to 40 miles (one way) and the tollway is the way to go. ( $$$) ... more
