Hey Spencer,

I ask my first time home buyer clients to consider resales in strong school clusters for potentially the biggest return on their investments in the shortest time periods. you can sell at some point in the near future, then buy your dream home. You cannot go wrong with Cobb County Schools. Particularly for your location needs, properties in these high school areas may work well.

Kell
Sprayberry
Lassiter
Pope
Walton
Wheeler

That does not mean that the others are poor, in deed, on the contrary. But there are several properties in your price range within these high school clusters that may work well for you. You can search by Cobb County High school at the link below.

I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you if you are not currently engaged with another agent. We can discuss some of the first time home buyer programs including down payment assistance on the mortgage tab and more.

Thanks
Solomon Greene

Usually your HUD office will have a list of apartments or houses accepting section 8. If not, look in the paper or call the apartment complex manager. Good Luck!

Hi Barb:
This is my favorite site for demo information:

http://www.city-data.com/city/Sandy-Springs-Georgia.html

It will provide statistics - but more importantly people who actually live there post extensive, hands-on info. It wll also point you to information on surrounding areas as well. Happy hunting! ... more
