I assume you moved up from NYC for quality of life issues and affordability. If you purchased the home primarily as a place to live vs. an investment, you will do well. If you are looking to turn it over for a profit, it will take some time for the market to see appreciation. Stewart Airport and proximity to NYC will continue to bring growth to the county though most likely at a slower rate. Enjoy your home and its surroundings and don't worry about the balance sheet for now.
