Great advise. Number 1: don't take anything from the property. This is illegal and not morally right. You can counter the bank to get more time or more money. Just call the Realtor representing the bank and they will be able to handle this for you. Assetlink/Servicelink is a servicer for many large banks. These banks don't want to get bad press and understand that you are a client and might be again in the future. They don't want to throw you out or do anything that will cause you more hardship.

Call the Realtor and counter offer the bank to what you will need. They will be open to anything.

Good Luck

The contract is not binding until you get ratified from the lender, so you can ask your agent to submit the offer as early as possible so that the listing agent can submit your offer also to the lender. ... more
