That is a great question, the Raleigh area is very diverse and they will be quite a few options for you. Like the other responses said I concur that the downtown area will be a good fit for you, or the north hills area. The southern end of Wakefield Plantation is well within walking distance to small shops, restaurants, large food store, little coffee shops, banking, schools K-12, YMCA, and child care.
