Depending on you choose to work for, can also affect how much you will need to get started. In short the board of Realtors and joining your MLS. Some offices will get you started with business cards and marketing material while others may not. No matter who you choose to work for, you will want and need to market yourself. START with a FREE blog over at Active Rain, i have placed a link below. A blog is a great way to promote yourself and what you can offer for no cost other than your time. Read about becoming a rain maker which promotes your blog. By interacting with other agents on Active Rain you will start to build a referral base as well ... more

I might suggest looking into an ISA (Inside Sales Associate) position. In Washington State you need to be licensed to do this position. You make calls to potential clients (leads provided by your team..) set appointments for agents and get paid on appointments and closings. It's very lucrative if you are good. ... more

Absolutely yes. Frank Wojcik from San Miguel in Concord. He has decades in the business, and I have had to call him out against other companies in the past (when there was a major discrepancy between his report and another) and he has always "won". On several occasions I have seen him state that there are actually NOT any termites on a property when another company is calling for a full tenting and fumigation!!!! I use him to represent both buyers and sellers, because whether the news is good or bad, I completely trust that his report will be ACCURATE. ... more

Hi Tamaki,

My broker allows "referring agents" which might be a good fit for you. What you would do is hang your license with us and refer business to an active agent. This way you do not have to pay all of the E&O and Technology fees that you would normally face. Let me know if you want more info.

Dayna Wilson answered:
Hi Cindy,
What is it that interests you about the East Bay? Based on your needs/wants/wishes you can narrow down towns and then neighborhoods-some are crazier than others. Do you want to walk to get your Starbuck's in the morning? Want to be steps from a hiking or bike trail? Want a large lot for your organic veggie garden? Higher price ranges are a bit less frenzied. Those of us who are active in the industry & regularly network with other real estate professionals, often hear about a 'coming soon' not yet on MLS. This can be very helpful in a competitive market like the one we are in. I am a life-long east bay gal, and Contra Costa is my playground. Feel free to call if you'd like to chat. 925-788-6582. I'd be pleased to offer my 2 cents to a fellow professional in the 'biz.' ... more

Taken Advantage Of answered:
I have an issue at one of Shapell apt. complexes in San Ramon. Falcon Bridge.
There is mold in the apartment. One place it was found was on the bottom of my daughter's mattress.
They did do remediation and told me the mattress was the source. Even though the hallway had a higher reading for mold. They took the mattress, disrupted my life and did not find out where the real cause was coming from. Now I am told if I want to move to a new apartment I can at my own expense.
If I do they will rent this apt. to some unsuspecting person and they will go through the same thing.
I have headaches, a cough, my daughter has asthma and rash break outs.
I will continue to write whoever I can until I get some real results. This is a cover-up and they tell you one thing and do another. Who can help me.

I don't understand:
You cannot have BOTH a 1/5/12 (not 2011) Trustee Sale,
and,
A Shortsale approval:
If the Bank granted a Shortsale Hardship, then they are supposed to put the Foreclosure on hold.

Unfortunately, you are at the mercy of the Listing Agent: If he won't get of the dime, go around him to his Broker. This is not personal, it is BUSINESS!

Good luck and may god bless
