Hey Trizia, check out Mont Sky in NYC. They were open to my friend selling his place without some sort of commission split, since he worked there. Not sure many other brokerages would allow it.
I would highly recommend that you start out at a firm that offers you not just training, but leads and referrals to work on, perhaps with management. Even if it's working on a team, you can view it as real world training.
I have a friend who recently joined Mont Sky Real Estate in NYC, and he's been assigned on 3 exclusive sale listings in Manhattan within 3 weeks, plus numerous buyer clients he's working on with the Principal Broker. Basically it seems like real world training.
Would definitely recommend you get working on a real sales deal as soon as possible. Otherwise, there's little chance you can succeed with no deal history against all of those sharks out there!... more
The tax rate in Fair Haven is much higher but you get more for your money ..Either Town is great, feels like we are all one family. Fair Haven has that small town feel and Rumson has bigger properties so if you want privacy, Rumson may be a better fit.
The best thing to do is come for a visit and experience the towns . Driving down River Road when the sun is setting coming from the beach with my kids....doesn't get any better.... more
Your best bet is to contact a local real estate agent who can supply you with accurate comps from the MLS of sales in that area. It will save you a lot of time in the long run by avoiding searching online yourself. Good Luck!... more

Bottom line, these are investment properties,in that if you can afford to buy it you make too much to live there! Prospective tenants need to be pre-qualified by the housing authority but you as the landlord can interview and chose from the pre-approved tenants. Please feel free to call me as we are representing these properties and have more extensive information available to prospective buyers!

I just noticed this thread and although it is a bit aged, I thought I would let you know I am the architect who designed the home. Thank you for the compliment. I am very proud of the work there. If you are still in search of a home and need some architectural advice or service, please feel free to call me. I don't charge any fees to review and visit properties that you may be condidering for renovation, addition, or new construction.
