Read what parents are saying about Kenosha School Of Technology Enhanced CurriculumPlease, if you have a child who struggles in school, DO NOT send them to this school! My child, who has a 504 plan, has had an absolutely awful experience at this school. He has been made to feel ashamed about his academic struggles instead of supported. His teachers have placed blame upon him for his failing grades - his homework has ALWAYS been completed, his attendance is great and he has no behavior issues. Instead of helping my child, they have made him feel powerless and shameful in regards to his academic abilities. When we, as parents, would ask for material to help support at home - we did not even get a reply (this school has a terrible reputation for unanswered emails and phone calls). It has become very clear that KTEC is more concerned about their test scores than making a difference in a student's life. When we had team meetings, the administrator told stories about her child who struggled in school. I would constantly redirect the meeting back to the focus on my child. The 504 was not followed and when questioned, teachers responded in a defensive manner. I could go on and on. Save your child the heartache and blows to their self esteem and send them to another school.

Posted by a parent on 1/28/2016I was so happy and relieved to get my kids in this school so the thought of possibly having to move them out of this school is really hard. My kids love the teachers, I love the challenges they give them. This is a school you can feel comfortable knowing they are in good hands.
Posted by a parent on 3/15/2015I recently graduated from this "school", and I am so thankful that I no longer go here. I am in high school right now, and I do not feel prepared at all. I was treated like a kindergartner here, and now I'm treated as a freshman, and there are multiple responsibilities. I manage to keep up with them, however it is an extreme struggle to do that. I wish I had gone to regular middle school. I wasted 7 years of my life that I will never get back at this school. They claim to teach things that are not available at other schools, when that is a complete lie. Parents, if you want your kids to be miserable, then send them here.
Posted by a community member on 11/8/2014If I could give this school a 0 star rating, I would give that in a heartbeat. It's not the teachers that are bad, its the way the school is set up and the administration that make it a bad school. They are way too unfair and strict on students here. I'm not even sure any students in the upper grades (6-8) like this school at all. They are not proud with the fact they go here. Whenever a student gets "in trouble", when they try to state their case, they consider it "talking back". And for one teacher, if they ask what you are doing, when you try to say, they interrupt you and say "I don't want to hear it". One time a student tried to say how he thought a 27 page story with small print to read was an unfair punishment, and the person took away his right to sports day and gave him a referral for "being rude and talking back". He was not at all talking back, he was simply sharing his thoughts. I am so happy that I no longer go to this school. I will never recommend this school to anyone. And the fact that they are opening a second campus is even worse, since more children will be subject to this awful school.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRich learning environment. I'm grateful to get a chance to send my little one to Montessori Children's House (MCH) in Madison. The long tenure of the teachers and their plan to teach tomorrow's Montessori teachers is evidence of care and compassion. I would recommend to anyone who wants their child to get a wonderful fuel their natural curiosity. Two examples: geography (Bulgaria is known for roses) and mathematics (understand the concept of zero by age three).Parent Review9y ago - All Saints Catholic School, South Campus

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt. Joseph Catholic Academy in Kenosha, Wisconsin is a remarkable school. My son has flourished in the academic and spiritual environment it provides. The teachers are phenomenal. They ensure students are developing their skills to their full potential. Technology in the classroom is continuously updated and students do most of their class work in the laptops provided by them. Students are learning and using the skills they will need in the future whenever they need it in the workforce or in college. St. Joseph Catholic Academy is the best investment a parent can provide for their child(ren). The school receives all the stars for rating. I seem to be having trouble clicking on them.Parent Review9y ago
