Skamania Elementary School

Ralph Pruitt, Superintendent/Principal is a joke. He allows kids to bully other kids with no consequences. DO NOT let your kids go here. When my wife talked to him about the problem he was dismissive and disrespectful to her. Then he screens our calls and doesn't respond to emails.

Skamania offers an alternative to bigger, more crowded schools, which is great for som kids. They excel at helping students who are behind our struggling find their way. I'd be hard pressed to find a bigger school where all of the teachers and support staff knew every child by name and has contact with almost every child during the week. Things they struggle with, HiCap programs, art, music, opportunities, always comes down to resources. There just are not enough. No one is close to being over paid or under worked. There isn't resources to hire anyone else. So as always the kids suffer, the teachers and school is blamed.There are other options but Skamania as a community is trying to provide the best, most safe place for every child that comes through its doors.
