Read what parents are saying about A.W.E. Bassette Elementary SchoolA school that dont care about special education children. Just slide the students thru the system. Pencil whip IEP.
Posted by a parent on 12/11/2022When it comes to bullying they handle it so poorly teachers never cared if I was bullied they always screamed at me everytime I defended myself but when I used to report the student for bullying my teacher never did anything even when the principals used to tell me to that’s when I started fighting because no one never did a thing that’s when they pointed me out for being the bad guy other then that this school is perfect in.
Posted by a teacher on 10/29/2022Bassette is in my estimation the model of a neighboorhood school. Iam a grandparent, so this is not the only elementary school, we have been involved in. All parents, grands, school board members and council members should spend a day in the life of thier schools to see the "real" school!Let's help our schools= they are so important to our kids and our country! It reall does take a village to raise a kid. And the schools are a "huge"part of our villages. Wm E Anderson Sr
Posted by a parent on 5/6/2016My child attended this school and she loved her teachers and new principal. Every time I entered the building I saw their dedication. Just need to put out the students who are severe behavior problems.
Posted by a parent on 6/1/2014I recently visited Bassette Elementary School and was very impressed with the staff's interaction with parents and students. I felt welcomed as soon as I walked through the door. Everyone was so friendly. The front desk is tiled with student art work and it was very inspiring. The school was decorated for the season and the children's work displayed outside the classrooms. I was impressed with the administration's interaction with parents. I had a wonderful experience at Bassette and hope to visit again soon.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere's been many complaints about this school. Some of the staff has been replaced the assistant principal was let go. But some of the staff that was a part of the problem is still there along with the principal. The staff is very mean they're very mean to the children. They let the children fight the principal does nothing. Which her emails are being intercepted by the new assistant principal. Some of the teachers yell at the students, there's beef and dislike among the staff so you know who already is running it , my two daughters have seen this over the years but not anymore. I'm with drawing them from the school. Their friends also go to the school and know that the staff is very. the lunch lady even told my daughter to clean up her mess on the floor. What a horrible School don't send your kids there many parents have already left already.Parent Review5mo ago - John Tyler Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is horrible. They have mold everywhere. My children come home not feeling good every day . For new students going here it is going to be stressful to find your class . It is a big school and the bullying is horrible . I’m never putting my kids in this school again and I suggest that you do not . DO BETTER HAMPTON CITY SCHOOLSParent Review3w ago - Faith Outreach Education Center
