Read what parents are saying about T. C. Williams High School Minnie Howard CampusSome of the teachers are wonderful, but a lot aren’t helpful in class at all. Fights happened often, drama is exhausting. Students are smoking in the bathrooms hourly. It’s very difficult to learn in many of the classrooms . And lastly lots of teachers aren’t teaching the students. For example my Spanish teacher gives us work that isn’t helpful to remember. He puts little to no effort in his teaching.

Posted by a parent on 6/12/2018best school ever, there are to many principals that keep the school going and is a good place to get ready for 10th grade
Posted by a parent on 1/28/2014This school is a great opportunity for cultural integration....but, like all public schools it is underfunded...and has allot of poor families that struggle to put food on the table. So children do not always get encouragement to complete education. Overall, my daughter got a full scholarship, as well as many of her friends who got full scholarships to Duke, Yale, and other schools.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved to this neighborhood specifically to attend Charles Barrett and we couldn't be happier about it. CBES is such a special school. The teachers go out of their way to communicate with parents and the kids feel supported and cared for. The integration of the arts makes learning fun and exciting. Also, having an after school program in the adjacent Rec Center is a lifesaver.Parent Review1y ago - Douglas Macarthur Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWorking at Patrick Henry was an awful experience. The principal is a bully. Students are not engaged because the principal demands that all lessons be a specific way. The principal does not follow up on her promises. She has her minions and they keep an eye on people for her. It’s very big brother. Do not send your kids here and don’t teach here. @ACPS do something about this.Teacher Review11mo ago - Abingdon Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this elementary school 5 years ago, my experience there was horrible the staff had no idea how to deal with bullying and as of now the same principal is still there. When i went to the counselor everyday the staff did not care. I had my 4th grade teacher throw away my food because "it smelt bad" which was what i was gonna eat, this teacher still works at the school. I had told teachers about my bullying experience yet the teachers agreed with the other side and the principal said "She's getting out of hand" this is really upsetting to hear as a 4th grader. The principal had at least 10 years of experience of working at the school at the time which tells me she "knows how to work with children" Please if you see a parents review do not listen as I was a child at this school and some children do not want to speak out and tell they're parents active problems.Parent Review1y ago
