Bennion Jr High School

It's not so good, my kid complained one day about how most teachers don't pay attention to there students.

My son transferred to this school in the middle of the school year because we moved. His science teacher turns a blind eye to violence in the classroom - one student purposely does something to annoy a second student, who reacts by shoving the first student so hard his desk flips over. The teacher, when asked about it said, "Student 1 won't stop teasing him, so I consider student 2's response fair." My son feels like this particular teacher just doesn't care about anything that happens in the classroom. I understand that teachers are underpaid, and I do understand that a lot of parents consider school "free babysitting." But tolerating violence is not okay. Neither of the above students was in the right, but it left my child feeling completely unsafe for his own safety should he accidentally bother another student.

It is such a welcoming environment with so many friendly people!!!!!

I would rate my experience at Bennion Jr. High an 9/10 because the Teachers,Faculty, and student body are all amazing and they all create Bennion an outstanding school

The bullying in this school is terrible. I have 2 teenage daughters that go here, one has been bullied since day one. The teachers turn a blind eye, the counselors assume everything is a home problem, and the students do whatever they want. My child that doesn't get bullied only talks about comments being made by students, in front of teachers, to other students, that have no consequences. Its terrible here, going to pull them out this week! Raising teens is hard enough, even more so when they are coming home crying from the way students as well as teachers treat them is unnecessary.
